• School will be in session on Friday, November 21^st. Please plan accordingly.

• Thanksgiving Break – No School – Monday, November 24^th through Friday, November 28^th

• We will continue to offer after school care each day school is in session from 3:30-6:00 PM for the 2025-2026 school year. This is a “pay for use” service. To utilize this service, you must sign up in advance. See the link for additional information. 

• We are very blessed to be in such a giving community. Each of the last eight years, we have been fortunate that individuals, businesses, and community organizations have made donations to help purchase our students the majority of their school supplies for the entire school year. This has been a huge blessing for our families and school and we are grateful for everyone who donates. • Request for Proposals (RFP): Geothermal HVAC System

  Jennings Public Schools is seeking qualified contractors to submit proposals for the design and installation of a Geothermal HVAC System for our facilities. This project aims to improve energy efficiency, reduce long-term operating costs, and support our commitment to sustainable infrastructure.

  Project Overview:
  The selected contractor will provide a full turnkey solution, including system design, engineering, installation, and integration with existing building systems. Proposals should demonstrate experience with geothermal technologies, project management capability, and a proven track record of successful commercial or institutional installations.

  Key Dates:

  RFP Issue Date: November 20, 2025

  Site Visit Date Range: December 1 – 5, 2025

  Questions Due: December 7, 2025, 5:00 PM CST

  Proposal Due Date: December 15, 2025. 5:00 PM CST

• In accordance with SB139, Jennings Public Schools is enacting a “Bell-to-Bell” Electronic Device policy that meets the requirements of the law. Electronic devices including cell phones will not be permitted from 7:55 AM – 3:25 PM. Classrooms in grades 4-8 will have a cell phone lock box mounted to the wall. Teachers and administrators will be the only ones with access to those boxes throughout the day. Students are expected to check their phone/device in immediately when they arrive to school. Devices will be returned to students at the end of the day.
