Special Education Director/Teacher
As a ninth grader, my family moved to Suriname, South America. I graduated from a long distance learning high school affiliate of the University of Nebraska. After graduation, I returned to the U.S. to attend college in Shawnee, Ok. I gained my Bachelors in Elementary Education and my Masters degree in Elementary Education from Liberty University. I have been actively teaching in a classroom for nearly 14 years! I thoroughly enjoy education and am excited for another ten years!
Hello! My name is Johnnie Jeffers, my student’s like to call me Mrs. J. I am so excited to start out this 2021-2022 school year here at Jennings Public Schools! I grew up in and around the Jennings area, except for a few years when I was living abroad in Suriname, South America. I attended college at Family of Faith University in Shawnee, Oklahoma acquiring my bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education (and my husband, Julius)! My husband and I have been married 12 years and have two wonderful children, Julianna and Jaxon. I have also obtained my master’s degree in Elementary Education from Liberty University. In my free time, I enjoy having a GREAT cup of coffee with my family and friends, hiking, biking, and crafting. I absolutely love the autumn season and all that comes with it – the cool crisp air, the falling leaves, pumpkin and cinnamon flavored everything, sports, and the colors! And, I also collect all things snowman!
I have taught a variety of subjects, courses, and grades in the past 12 years, but my favorite has been and is 4th grade! I am excited to begin this journey called 4th grade with you and your students! Please feel free to contact me via email at jjeffers@jennings.k12.ok.us, text, or drop by and say hi!
This is going to be a great year!
Mrs. J
